Help Desk Technician

Auburn, IL

The IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of PC's, peripherals and network equipment in a Windows environment. Candidate should have excellent communication skills and a strong interest and talent in IT. Works closely with other IT members and assists with projects as needed. Associates degree in computer science or related field preferred.

Credit Analyst

Springfield, IL

The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assisting Loan Officers by providing basic analytical support relating to due diligence, document processing, and financial/statistical analysis related to new transactions, credit approvals and ongoing monitoring of closed transactions. Duties will include; entering financial statements and related information to financial spreadsheets and software programs for analysis, analyzing all financial data related to new and renewal loan requests, preparing summary credit approval reports/memos documenting credit analysis and supporting information for credit decision recommendations.

A bachelor's degree in finance/accounting is preferred. Previous credit analysis and/or lending experience is a plus. Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills are a must. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel and Word.

United Community Bank, the Leader of Community Banking, is seeking an outgoing, experienced Mortgage Lender with a proven record in real estate, consumer and commercial lending to join the Sherman Branch. Knowledge of secondary market underwriting and analyzing of loan requests for customers. Must be able to ascertain credit worthiness of borrowers with the ability to perform a full range of duties in the lending department. Position will be extensively involved in business development in Sherman and the surrounding area.

Encompass and LaserPro software knowledge a plus.

Compliance Officer - Chatham, IL

Chatham, IL

The compliance officer will be responsible for developing, implementing and administering the compliance of laws and regulations as they apply to the financial institution.

 

Duties will include:

  • Develop and coordinate bank efforts to comply with laws and regulations to maintain a strong compliance management system (CMS).

  • Formulate and update bank policies and procedures to maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Act as a resource on all new regulations and/or changes of existing regulations.

  • Ensure timely enactment of all laws, regulatory changes and compliance related initiatives.

  • Develop, coordinate and facilitate training programs, sessions, and seminars to educate bank personnel about regulatory compliance requirements and procedures.

  • Research bank-wide regulatory issues and respond to compliance questions from management and bank personnel, using legal and regulatory reference materials, regulatory agencies and professional associations and organizations as appropriate.

  • Maintain CRA file and oversee banks CRA efforts.

  • Review marketing materials, advertisements and customer correspondence for compliance, as necessary and provide guidance on regulatory restrictions.

  • Coordinate, prepare and provide information for regulatory compliance exams and internal audits.

  • Respond to internal audit issues, as necessary.

  • Assist with or perform internal testing, as necessary.

  • Attend outside training and conferences, as necessary, to stay abreast of regulatory trends and current regulatory topics. 

Skills required:

Benefits Specialist - Springfield, IL

Springfield, IL

The Benefits Specialist will deliver excellent customer service to our employees in the area of employee benefits by preparing, administering and maintaining benefit programs including health, life, dental, short and long term disability, supplemental/term life insurance/AD&D, and the Flexible Spending Account. The Employee Benefit Specialist will also administer all types of employee leaves of absence including Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and Cobra. This position will also provide a backup resource for employee payroll process functions and admisnitrative duties for the SVP-HR.

RESPONSIBILITIES will include:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned.

Coordinate and lead annual open enrollment including employee communication

Administer Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and Short Term Disability. Distribute forms, advise manager of employee eligibility, monitor process and maintain appropriate tracking.

Cross trained on payroll functions and provide support to payroll specialist.  Stay abreast of changes in payroll procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain ability to complete payroll in the absence of the payroll specialist.

Administers employee insurance coverage data due to changes in employee status and eligibility in the appropriate systems. Complete monthly enrollment of newly eligible employees into health plans.

Maintain and update benefit plans, including premium allocations from the payroll system. Complete the benefit rollover process at the beginning of each new plan year in the payroll system.

Manage relationship with 3rd party benefit providers to research and resolve employee questions and problems.

Stay abreast to compliance changes regarding employment law and benefit plan rules and regulations.

Produce separated employee packets; including notice of life insurance portability and conversion, vendor contact list, 401K transfer information, and maintain terminated employee file.

Administer monthly billings and the reconciliation of invoices for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.

Maintain employee files, including integration of new hire information and process of changes in appropriate systems.

Educates all new employees as to company’s benefits during orientation and throughout each plan year.

Initiate COBRA notification to the employee. Monitor that notifications are made within time limits and according to federal regulations. Receive and record COBRA insurance premium payments.

Administer Cafeteria Plan/Flexible Spending Accounts. Assist with enrollment and work with employees to show benefits of the plan. Process and maintain forms.

Perform special projects as assigned.

Respond in a timely manner to all employee inquiries via phone or email.

Perform other miscellaneous functions as required.

 

Skills Required:

Knowledge of benefits programs and requirements.

Understanding of Human Resource Department reporting, recordkeeping requirements, procedures and employment law.

Excellent oral/written communication skills, telephone manners/techniques, confidentiality and human relations and problem solving skills.

Proficiency in using Spreadsheet and Word Processing Applications.

At least three years of related experience.

Applicable bachelor’s level degree from a nationally accredited college or university preferred.
